As it turned out it did rain torrentially, but it all worked out fine because we were inside eating lunch, and as soon as they asked me where we would like to cut the cake, the sun came out.
I won't write much as I'm still processing it in my head but it was such a special day. We were surrounded by such wonderful family and friends. The Italians and the English didn't do a lot of mixing but those who could did and my Italian friends did a particularly good job of speaking multiple languages.
In the car on the way to the wedding I was so nervous I couldn't talk, my mum suggested I count and I think I got to about 134 before we saw, from the car, my family trying to go into the WRONG wedding. That certainly took my mind of my nerves for a moment or two. The ceremony was really quick. A nearly threw me by ignoring instructions and saying 'lo voglio' (shouldn't it be la voglio?) when it came to me I opted for plan A and blurted out 'Si!' which made the mayor laugh, but I had so little breath it was the only way I could get it out. Once we were officially married I was able to breathe again and I had so much fun and it really did turn out to be the best day of my life!

Ps. The honeymoon was great. We took over 1000 photos so more to come in a month or two.
